2010 Regional Interpreter Guide Examination

      ■ Written (first round) tests

        English, Chinese, Korean)
        ・Date: August 29, 2010 (Sunday)
        ・Location: Morioka
         ※Those also taking the National Interpreter Guide examination
          will be testing in a different location.
      □ Iwate Geography; Iwate History: Iwate Industry, Economy,
        Politics, and Culture
        ・Date: October 3, 2010 (Sunday)
        ・Location: Morioka
      ■ Oral (second round) tests
      □ Language (Practical communication ability of the language you
        selected in the first round)
        ・Date: December 19, 2010 (Sunday)
        ・Location: Morioka
Requirements to take test: 
      Anyone can take the test regardless of age, gender, academic
      history, or nationality.
Test application: 
      test application and testing instructions will be available from
      the Iwate Prefectural Government Tourism Division and the various
      regional bureaus planning affairs departments from May 24 (Sunday).
Documents to submit: 
      You must fill in the Application for Iwate Regional Interpreter
      Guide Test and the Application Test Pass and submit the documents
      to the Iwate Prefectural Government, Department of Commerce,
      Industry, Labor, and Tourism, Tourism Division.
Test Fee: 
Submission period: 
      May 24, 2010 – June 25, (Friday)
How to submit: 
      □ By post:Submit through simplified registered mail
         (must be postmarked by June 25 (Friday)).
      □ By hand:Submit your application directly to the Iwate
        Prefectural Government, Department of Commerce Industry,
      Labor, and Tourism, Tourism Division.
Announcement of Passing: 
      □ Written (round 1) Test: November 19, 2010 (Friday)
      □ Oral (round 2) Test: February 4, 2011 (Friday)
